Community involvement and financial support are essential to our SMART program. We are partially supported by the United Way of Manatee County. The rest of our support comes from the tax deductible donations and gifts from private individuals and groups, fund raising events, and program fees.

SMART is a participating charity in the Suncoast CFC 2012 campaign.
Federal employees can support SMART through the Combined Federal Campaign. SMART's ID # is: 85832

Our funds are used to cover a wide range of operating costs including the care and maintenance of our horses, insurance, purchase and maintenance of equipment, and supplies and veterinary/farrier care.

The Dixie Paint Horse Club has become a fantastic supporter of our Horses for Heroes program. Their September show is dedicated to raising funds for our veterans, and this year they raised $2000 through their Chinese auction. We thank them for their dedication, hard work, and support of our veterans and their families!
